Maybelline Illegal Length Fiber Extensions Mascara

014

This mascara missed the mark to me. It gave me length(Yay!), but the fibers just didn’t do it for me(boo!). They looked like stray pieces of lash attached to my own. I wanted to pick them off because they looked so out of place. This may not be an issue from far away but it threw me when I looked at my lashes up close. Not What I Expected: Maybelline Amethyst and Natural Smokes Quads

I bought these Maybelline eyeshadow quads with the intention to put them on with the sponge applicator. My motivation was to show that even if you’re at the beginning stages of wearing makeup you can pull off something decent. Unfortunately, that just wasn’t the case.

Maybelline Great Lash Real Impact Mascara

Maybelline Great Lash Title

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara is one of those mascaras that’s everywhere and has been around forever. I remember seeing the pink and green tube in my mother’s bathroom. It persists because it gets the job done. This is Maybelline Great Lash Real Impact Mascara. Continue reading Maybelline Great Lash Real Impact Mascara

The Skies Didn’t Open Up: Maybelline Master Kajal Eyeliner – Charcoal Skies

Maybelline Master Kajal Eyeliner - Charcoal Skies

I started off on the wrong foot with this eyeliner. I meant to buy the Onyx Rush, a black, but I ended up coming home with Charcoal Skies, which is grey. Rather than take it back I thought I’d give it a shot anyway.

Maybelline Master Kajal is “a whole new way to smolder: our first liner designed for an easy glide along the inside line.”(maybelline.com)

The cone shape of the Master Kajal was part of the appeal for me. I also liked that it could be put it on the waterline as well. However, after using it I didn’t like it. Continue reading The Skies Didn’t Open Up: Maybelline Master Kajal Eyeliner – Charcoal Skies

Another Naked 3 Look

I wanted to show this look with my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. Some people seem to love it and others seem to think the palette just okay. I like the palette but it’s definitely ranked at 3 compared to the original Naked palette and Naked 2.

Sidenote: Before I stopped on this shade of gloss I tried a sheer grape, sheer pink, and a reddish color. I’ve seen one woman pair it with black lipstick for an edgier look, but I didn’t want to do that. With all that said, what lipsticks, glosses, etc are you pairing with Naked 3?

Gotta Get Em All? Maybelline ColorSensational Color Elixirs

I’ve been on a lip product kick lately. It started out with a couple of Maybelline ColorSensational Color Elixirs and now I’m up to 12 in these last few weeks. The lovely Aprill Coleman at Glitter Gloss Garbage reviewed them a few months ago and when I saw them in my store I snatched them up and just couldn’t stop. I think I kept buying them to see if the next gloss was as good, pretty, pigmented, etc as the last one. I found out in some cases yes and in some cases no.

There’s also the #nobarelips30 challenge created by Keiko Kavari. The challenge gave me a reason to buy stuff and the fact they were drugstore products lulled me into thinking it wasn’t that bad. Some of them were even buy 1 get 1 50% off. Who doesn’t love a deal, right? Why would I pass that up? *straight face* Judgeth me not.

In any case, my kinda sorta hoarding tendencies loss is your gain.

These Maybelline Color Elixirs retail for $8.99, but I was in Walgreens recently(read: yesterday lol) and they’re having a buy 1 get 1 50% sale on them until December 7. These glosses go on really easily and it’s a wand instead of a brush, which I like. They’re not goopy or sticky. And while pigmented don’t stain.
